I was studying at the college and had just heard about Doll By Doll at the time, so was very happy to get the chance to see them. In later years, I had the fortune to see and meet Jackie Leven on a number of occasions.
As an aside, while waiting for the gig to start, the bass player from Baby & The Blackspots came up to me and asked for some chewing gum which I gladly gave her. I forget her name, but she later went on to play with Gang Of Four for a while.
