Notes:

  • The first UK lockdown officially started on March 26th, 2020 and was gradually eased over the summer months with it effectively ending in September 2020, with some localised exceptions.
  • A Tiered system was introduced on October 14th before a second UK lockdown started on November 5th, 2020 and ended on December 2nd, 2020, at which point a tougher Tiered system was reverted to.
  • Initially in Tier 2, my local area (along with large parts of the UK) was moved to Tier 4 on December 26th, which in effect meant a third lockdown!
  • An official third national lockdown started on January 5th, 2021 and is likely to run through to late February at least.
  • On February 22nd, 2021, a four stage roadmap was announced for coming out of lockdown, assuming that data targets were met in regard to vaccinations and reducing infection and mortality rates. Earliest possible dates given for the last two stages included a return of socially distanced shows from May 17th and full shows from June 21st. Watch this space!
  • On June 14th, 2021, it was announced that the final lifting of restrictions had been delayed to July 19th, further delaying a full return of gigs and festivals.
  • Covid restrictions in England were lifted on July 19th and gigs have started returning to full capacity.
  • As of September 17th, 2021, and despite most UK restrictions being lifted, Covid continues to have an impact with some shows still being postponed or cancelled due to health reasons, or international travel effects, etc.
  • Just as things were starting to look better, a new (Omicron) variant arrived in late 2021 and subsequently caused a further impact into early 2022!
  • As of June 1st, 2022, everything seems to be more or less back to normal, although there are still occasional gig postponements/cancellations due to Covid-related issues.
  • This list doesn't include other gigs that I had been considering, but hadn't booked yet.
